SOA/WS initiatives impact development and quality organizations as they strive to accurately meet distinct business process objectives within a technology paradigm that requires unprecedented consistency and control. By definition a SOA introduces a distributed infrastructure that is virtually impossible to stage for quality or testing purposes.

This discussion will briefly examine the attributes of SOA/WS, highlight the business impacts of SOA/WS and discuss what is required to make a SOA agile. We will introduce a gated quality/provisioning process to ensure that your SOA is secure, reliable and compliant. We will also elaborate on how an "SOA Aware" infrastructure must be used to enable technical agility and manage the complexity within SOA environments.
