QA Engineer Position in Burbank, CA
Submitted by scqaa_sf_admin on Wed, 2010-07-14 21:43.As a QA Engineer within the Advertiser Publisher Group, you will be responsible for defining test plans and test specifications as well as design tools for unit, functional and performance testing, execution of test cases, and reporting product failures. You will be creating test scripts performing front-end testing for web applications using Selenium. Working hand in hand with the Development Teams and other QA engineers, you will be coding/writing tests in Java using the open source Selenium framework. You will also be responsible for helping extend other test framework, running a subset of tests within Hudson, and using Clover to measure the code coverage on applications that include complex algorithms.
Responsibilities:
- Influence and help build QA in a fun and fast-paced dynamic team environment.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in the creation of test suites, test cases, and test harnesses
- Focus on test framework design and execution using Selenium.
- Define test plans and test specifications as well as design tools for unit, functional and performance testing, execution of test cases, and reporting product failures
- Follow project milestones; design, implement, document, and execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing)
- Analyze and assess SQL database data structure, integrity, content, and test DB deployment/replication processes and stored procedures/triggers
Set up the processes required to promote the overall quality of the product - Review code changes to help the team identify needed test cases for efficient execution.
- Bachelors degree with emphasis on Computer Science, Computer & Electrical Engineering majors
- 3+ years of enterprise software engineering experience
- 3+ years of testing front-end UI of java web applications and hands-on experience in UI automation
- 2+ years of expertise in Java development or hands-on experience in Java. JUnit and TestNG experience required.
- 2+ years with the design, development and testing of complex queries (SQL, Pl/SQL) and data retrieval (Stored Procedures, Triggers) from very large OLAP/OLTP relational databases or data marts/warehouses (Oracle, Teradata, MySQL)
- 2+ years within a Linux/UNIX environment and extensive Perl and/or shell scripting with Hands-on experience in back-end testing of Linux/Unix based applications and systems
- Experience with build tools like Ant and/or Maven

IT Quality Engineer (QE) Lead/Manager
Submitted by scqaa_sf_admin on Fri, 2008-11-21 15:44.· The IT Quality Engineer (QE) Lead/Manager resides in the IT QSC Operations group, and performs and provides expertise in various QSC operational areas: coordination, and execution of corporate wide IT policy and procedures in accordance with SOX, FDA (GxP), Intellectual Property, international and local privacy requirements and internal company procedures.
· The QE supports SOX operations, computer system validation, change control, issue management, document control and IT process training operations.
· The QE demonstrates leadership and independence in managing key Quality System processes and SOX testing activities.
· The QE develops process performance indicators, identifies and interprets process operational trends, and leads/drives continuous process improvement.
· The QE interacts with members from the QSC Engineering group, business units, Internal Audit, Quality Assurance and IT technical groups to develop and execute a risk-based program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and security of high value and sensitive data.
· Development of operational key performance indicators, identify trends, and feedback of trends and requirements to QSC Engineering
· Driving continuous process improvement with QSC Engineering
· Support of daily operations of SOX systems, computer system change control, issue management, and IT process training operations for various user departments.
· Management of key quality system process, quarterly and annual SOX testing activities.
· Leading the development and documentation of User, Functional and Design requirements; Installation, Operational and Performance Qualification; acceptance criteria; Standard Operating Procedures; requirements traceability, Infrastructure Qualification and change control.
· Execution of qualification/validation activities in accordance with the requirements, master plans, procedures and protocols.
· Bachelors degree in Science or Technology, Masters or higher preferred.
· 10+ years experience in pharmaceutical processes including systems lifecycle processes, change control, CAPA, SOX or computer validation.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Demonstrated experience organizing ad hoc teams to achieve excellent results.
· Excellent planning and organizational skills. Persuasive writer with strong verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethics in business transactions and relationships.
