QA Engineer Position in Burbank, CA

As a QA Engineer within the Advertiser Publisher Group, you will be responsible for defining test plans and test specifications as well as design tools for unit, functional and performance testing, execution of test cases, and reporting product failures. You will be creating test scripts performing front-end testing for web applications using Selenium. Working hand in hand with the Development Teams and other QA engineers, you will be coding/writing tests in Java using the open source Selenium framework. You will also be responsible for helping extend other test framework, running a subset of tests within Hudson, and using Clover to measure the code coverage on applications that include complex algorithms.

Responsibilities:

1. Influence and help build QA in a fun and fast-paced dynamic team environment.
2. Communicate clearly and effectively in the creation of test suites, test cases, and test harnesses
3. Focus on test framework design and execution using Selenium.
4. Define test plans and test specifications as well as design tools for unit, functional and performance testing, execution of test cases, and reporting product failures
5. Follow project milestones; design, implement, document, and execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing)
6. Analyze and assess SQL database data structure, integrity, content, and test DB deployment/replication processes and stored procedures/triggers
   Set up the processes required to promote the overall quality of the product
7. Review code changes to help the team identify needed test cases for efficient execution.

1. Bachelors degree with emphasis on Computer Science, Computer & Electrical Engineering majors
2. 3+ years of enterprise software engineering experience
3. 3+ years of testing front-end UI of java web applications and hands-on experience in UI automation
4. 2+ years of expertise in Java development or hands-on experience in Java. JUnit and TestNG experience required.
5. 2+ years with the design, development and testing of complex queries (SQL, Pl/SQL) and data retrieval (Stored Procedures, Triggers) from very large OLAP/OLTP relational databases or data marts/warehouses (Oracle, Teradata, MySQL)
6. 2+ years within a Linux/UNIX environment and extensive Perl and/or shell scripting with Hands-on experience in back-end testing of Linux/Unix based applications and systems
7. Experience with build tools like Ant and/or Maven
   Customer-focused, ability to triage and troubleshoot issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple products
